Margaret A. Bernier is an accomplished painter of marine and landscapes of the New England region. Born and raised in the Chicago area, she received her early education in the fine arts through the Art Institute of Chicago. She has also studied with Kevin Shea, a Copley Society Master, and Enrico Donati.
Bernier’s interest in painting is rooted in the works of American Impressionist Masters of the late 19th and 20th century of the New England Region, including Hibbard, Homer, Milhaupt, and Twachtman. Margaret is an active member of the Newburyport Art Association, and has participated in a number of one-person and group shows, including:
